At Hope Fellowship of Ramsey, our greatest desire is that every person who enters our community experiences what it means to be loved, known, and changed. Whether gathering for worship, sharing life in small groups, or serving our neighbors, we are committed to creating a community where authentic relationships and spiritual growth thrive.
Our worship is more than a Sunday activity—it's an outpouring of our everyday lives. We strive to offer ourselves in authentic worship that reflects God's love and transforms our hearts. We are anchored in God's Word, passionately dedicated to Scripture, and open to the Spirit's work in changing us from the inside out.
Prayer is the heartbeat of Hope. We faithfully depend on it, commit to it, and persevere in it, believing it connects us to the heart of God and the needs of one another. We are equally committed to Christ's mission—to love others tangibly and courageously, and to engage our city, region, and world with the compassion of Christ.
We are a grace-filled church, growing in the grace we receive through Jesus and extending it freely to one another. Rather than focusing on programs or property, we invest deeply in people, believing every individual matters and is uniquely gifted by God.
Leadership at Hope is not held by a few—it's a shared calling. We are a church of many leaders who love God and seek His kingdom above all else. Together, we covenant to be a faith community that reflects Christ's command: to love one another as He has loved us.

Josh Underbakke
Senior Pastor
Josh has served Hope since 1999, beginning as a part-time youth pastor. He leads from a servant's heart and brings passion and energy to ministry and Sunday preaching. He and his wife Alison have three kids — Grant, Joey, and Emma.

Zach Hansen
Associate Pastor
Zach joined Hope in 2018 and has served the youth program since 2019. A Northwestern grad, he spent 11 years in youth ministry and 5 with FCA before joining staff full time. He and his wife Tanja have two kids, Claire and Connor.

Sarah Luckow
Children's Ministry Director
Sarah joined Hope in 2025 with a heart for children's ministry and worship. She is finishing her degree in Youth, Children, and Family Ministries at North Central University. She and her husband Nate live in Ramsey.

Worship Director
Jack joined Hope in 2026, bringing a lifelong love of music and worship. A North Central University grad in Piano Performance, he has led worship across the Twin Cities and plays professionally.

Executive Director
A member for over 15 years, John serves as Executive Director and works as a realtor. He and his wife Beth have five daughters and have served at Hope as teachers, youth volunteers, and on the Leadership Team.

Nichole Dillner
Administrator
Nichole joined staff in 2024; her family's journey at Hope began in 2000. A former math teacher, she's passionate about children, worship, and helping others. She and her husband Steve have two children, Ethan and Kylie.

Technical Director
Nathan leads tech at Hope. A North Central University grad in digital production with a music minor, he enjoys music, games, and editing video. He is married to Sarah.

Student Ministries Associate
Chelsea joined Hope in 2022 with over a decade of small-group leadership and youth ministry experience. She and her husband Derik have three children — Peyton, Fin, and Paisley.

Beth joined Hope in 2009 and has served in Children's Ministry for over 15 years, plus the Leadership and Hospitality teams. She is a veteran educator teaching Social Studies at Andover High School.

Tanja brings a decade of marketing, design, and photography experience and serves with MN FCA as Communications Director. She is married to Associate Pastor Zach Hansen; they have two kids, Claire and Connor.

Thomas studies Elementary Education at Bethel University and has attended Hope since 2022. Passionate about youth and children, he serves in the elementary ministry.

We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and our utmost authority in faith, doctrine, and Christian living. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
We believe in one God, eternally existing as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is fully God and fully man. (Matthew 1:18–25; Titus 2:13)
We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God, that they sinned and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death, and that all people are born with a sinful nature. (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 5:12–18)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died as a sacrifice for our sins, rose victorious from the grave on the third day, and that all who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood. (Isaiah 53; Romans 3:24–26; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
We believe that all who come by grace through faith to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are forgiven, born again of the Holy Spirit, and become children of God. (John 1:12–13; Ephesians 2:8–9)
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer as an abiding Helper, Teacher, Guide, and Comforter, equipping believers with gifts to build up the body and further God's Kingdom. (John 16:5–15; 1 Corinthians 12:7–31)
We believe in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that His personal return could occur at any time. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17)
We believe that water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is the biblical example of baptism and a public profession of faith in Christ. (Matthew 28:18–20; Romans 6:3–4)
We believe the Lord's Supper should be practiced regularly to remember Jesus' death on the cross as payment for our sins, by born-again believers walking in fellowship with Him. (1 Corinthians 11:23–29)
We believe that every Christian has a direct relationship with God through Jesus Christ, is responsible to God alone, and that each local church is independent. (Hebrews 4:14–16)
We believe that every Christian has been commissioned to participate in spreading the Gospel to all people. (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8)
We believe that all who acknowledge Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord are part of the one true universal Church, and we believe in the local church gathered for worship, work, and fellowship. (Acts 2:41–42; 1 Corinthians 12:12–31)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust — the everlasting joy of the saved with God, and the everlasting separation of the lost from God. (John 5:28–29; 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 20:11–15)
