In Luke 2:8-20, the Angel of the Lord proclaims to the shepherds, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all people.” This reminds us that God’s love and salvation extend to everyone, including the lowly and overlooked. The shepherds, marginalized in their society, were chosen to receive and share the good news of Christ’s birth, demonstrating that God values and sees us all. Let us embrace the hope of Christmas, knowing that God sees and loves us, no matter our status, and calls us to share this good news with others.
